Position Title: AI Courseware Development Specialist

Position Summary:
Ampcus is seeking an experienced, creative and detail-oriented Courseware Development Specialist to design and produce instructional materials that support the adoption and responsible use of AI technologies including Agentic AI, Generative AI (GenAI), and traditional AI for a leading independent federal agency focused on financial system stability. This role will collaborate closely with the AI Training Specialist, subject matter experts, and technical teams to create engaging, accessible, and mission-aligned learning content that empowers staff across diverse roles and technical backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design & Development
- Design and develop courseware for instructor-led training, e-learning modules, and blended learning formats.
- Translate complex AI concepts into clear, engaging, and role-relevant instructional materials.
- Create content that supports workforce readiness for GenAI, Agentic AI, and traditional AI tools and platforms.
Content Creation & Production
- Develop multimedia assets including presentations, job aids, infographics, videos, and interactive simulations.
- Ensure all courseware is accessible, compliant with Section 508 standards, and aligned with adult learning principles.
- Maintain version control and documentation for all instructional materials.
Collaboration & Alignment
- Work closely with the AI Training Specialist and technical teams to ensure courseware reflects current tools, use cases, and governance policies.
- Incorporate feedback from learners, trainers, and stakeholders to continuously improve course content.
- Support change management and communication efforts by producing learning collateral that reinforces adoption.
Quality Assurance & Evaluation
- Conduct peer reviews and usability testing of courseware to ensure clarity, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Monitor learner performance and feedback to identify opportunities for refinement.
- Maintain alignment with federal training standards and agency-specific learning goals.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s or Master s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in courseware development or instructional design, preferably in technical or government settings.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, including GenAI and Agentic AI, or ability to quickly learn and translate technical content.
- Proficiency with authoring tools and learning management systems.
- Excellent writing, editing, and visual communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in public sector or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with AI governance, ethical use, and workforce enablement strategies.
- Knowledge of SCORM/xAPI standards and e-learning accessibility requirements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineers, trainers, and policy experts.
