This position is a Lead Finance Analyst within the Support and Administration Finance Team, providing financial business support to the HR, Risk Review, Risk Management, Legal, Corporate Center, and Finance organizations. The position will focus on analysis, forecasting, and reporting to drive expense management, and increase financial transparency.The individual will report to a Finance Manager and will be responsible for designing, developing, and producing financial reporting and analysis to serve our business clients and assist in cross-functional activities. The individual will directly interact with S&A Leadership, to include Executive leaders (Chief Human Resources Officer, General Auditor, Chief Risk Officer, General Council, Corporate Center Executive, and Chief Financial Officer). Essential Job Functions:
- Provide Strategic guidance, advice, and financial modeling for strategic plans and investments.
- Leverage ad-hoc financial performance analysis to assist business partners in strategic decision making & understanding drivers behind expense outcomes
- Coordinating and participating in LOB and product level financial forecasting and planning
- Provide financial guidance with supporting financial evaluations of proposed initiatives and technology investments via the following activities: gathering assumptions, preparing financial projections, measuring profitability including ROE/ROA/ROBC.
- Provide guidance and act as liaison between the Support and Administrative teams and LOB Finance teams in the Technology and Operations, Corporate Bank, Institutional Bank, and Consumer Bank.
- Providing accurate and insightful financial reporting including insightful analysis of expense drivers
- Assisting the segment in daily financial management activities
- Maintain and update organizational hierarchy structure (i.e. cost centers) that best reflect the management of the business and facilitates reporting
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field is required
- Minimum 2 years of analytical experience in Finance, Business, or related field
- Experience providing decision support and building client relationships
Technical/Business Acumen:
- Organized self-starter with the ability to think and work independently, strategically and creatively
- Detail oriented with the ability to thoroughly analyze and resolve issues with limited direction
- Strong financial and/or accounting acumen, incl. analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid working relationships with multiple teams and individuals with varying levels of expertise
- Proactive and effective communicator - strong verbal and written communication skills & ability to express opinions and consult with others
- Proficient in project management/proven ability to lead cross functional team projects
- Proven team player, willing to assist others as needed to ensure that group deadlines are met, and quality standards achieved - ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively
- Passion for continuous improvement especially related to process, accuracy, and details
Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Access)
- Experience working with financial system reporting environments (i.e. Workday, Tableau Etc.)
