Summary of Job Duties:Your clinical role will be as a primary care physician in the Internal Medicine clinics at the UAMS
Northwest Arkansas Campus. Your clinical activity will be precepting Internal Medicine residents.
Teaching medical students and Internal Medicine residents is an important part of your job and is expected that you will participate in the teaching of our students and residents in the clinic and classroom. It is also expected that you will participate, when requested, in the department's principal educational conferences and departmental faculty meetings. It is also expected that you will participate in quality improvement projects along with other members ofthe faculty and the Internal Medicine residents. Also, as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for our patients residing in the Butterfield Trail Village (BTV), the UAMS Northwest Arkansas Campus implemented a structured call coverage schedule (including weekends) for physicians and residents involved in their care. Your role will include the supervision of the call coverage for BTV, either directly or supervising the residents, in accordance with our agreed-upon coverage plan. During the on-call period, you will be responsible for addressing urgent medical issues, consulting with the nursing staff, and coordinating any necessary interventions or hospital transfers. Qualifications:

  • MD/DO licensed in the state of Arkansas
  • Ability to be credentialed with affiliated hospitals
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work with members of the academic and clinical community
