Senior Security Engineer

This is a US-based remote position that will start as a 9 month engagement and coule extend up to 18 months

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will be a key contributor in defining and implementing security configurations across diverse platforms. Your expertise will be essential in developing baselines that align with high-level security requirements, mitigating risks, and promoting a secure-by-default environment. Collaborate with teams across the organization to drive alignment on security standards, processes, and technologies. Champion automation and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement in security practices.

What You'll Do:

• Develop and implement security configuration settings for various platform technologies.
• Create and maintain security baselines that align with high-level security requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive adoption of security best practices.
• Identify systemic security risks and develop mitigation plans.
• Champion automation to enhance security posture and efficiency.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of security controls and procedures.
• Stay abreast of emerging security threats and technologies.

Must-Haves:

• Must be a US Citizen.
• 10+ years of overall experience in the security field.
• 5+ years of experience with Cloud Security.
• 5+ years of experience with Network Security/OS Server Security.
• 5+ years of experience with Identity and Access Management.
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with both standards-based and non-standards-based security requirements.
• Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
• Experience with security automation tools and technologies.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $70 to $80 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
