We are seeking a Director for strategic, technical and financial planning for Facilities, Underground Storage, and Production assets across the US & Canada within our Gas Distribution & Storage Business Unit. What You Will Do:

  • Lead decisions related to the Facilities, Storage, and Production assets across North America under the Integrity and Risk Management department's strategic goals and objectives, in line with Enbridge Gas' priorities and following applicable Integrated Management System programs.

  • Responsible for fitness-for-service and safety decisions, ensuring work prioritization consistency between Integrity and Risk functions, and supervising field support functions.

  • Accountable for meeting compliance targets for Facilities, Storage, and Production assets across Enbridge Gas in the US and Canada.

  • Develop a strong communication strategy for the team aiding Enbridge Gas senior executives. This also includes provincial, state, and federal regulators.

  • Effectively manage key stakeholder relationships at various levels in the organization by gathering necessary inputs (e.g., from the regions), adjusting internal strategy and plans as applicable, and communicating decisions/adjustments in a timely manner. Stakeholders include Finance, Regulatory, Engineering, Field Execution, Operations, Operations Support Services, Asset Management, Gas Control, and other Business Units at Enbridge.

  • Manage the financial portfolio of related Integrity and Risk Management areas (O&M and Capital) to ensure proper allocation, tracking, justification, and communication. Work closely with Operations, Operations Support Services, Finance, and Asset Management, among other stakeholders.

  • Actively support and lead the Integrity and Risk component of regulatory files related to Facilities, Storage, and Production assets.

  • Support Integrity plans and initiatives, approvals, and projects under different functions. This includes collaboration with other leaders within the Integrity and Risk Management department to pursue common goals, in line with the department vision and mission.

  • Lead technology advancement related to this portfolio.

  • Lead or project manage applicable joint Business Unit Integrity initiatives on behalf of Enbridge Gas.

  • Mentor and coach employees to enhance expertise within the team, improve financial acumen, and align decision-making practice.

  • Manage and/or support contractual relationships with key contractors and consultants for the Integrity and Risk Management department.

Who You Are:

Required:

  • Engineering degree with minimum of 10 years of experience in Integrity, Risk Management, Operations, or equivalent.

  • For Canadian applicants, Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation is required.

  • Ability to mentor and motivate others emphasizing relationship-building and excellence in decision-making.

  • Excellent collaboration, presentation, facilitation, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience in technical, dynamic environments.

  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities and respond effectively to technical and/or financial inquiries and challenges.

  • Detailed knowledge of applicable codes and standards and regulations. Understanding of applicable company policies, procedures and practices would be considered an asset.

Preferred:

  • MBA, Risk or Financial education.

  • PE designation for US applicants.

Working Conditions:

  • Responsible driving record is required for this role.

  • Work spans all Enbridge Gas assets and will include travel and fieldwork.

  • Ability to travel frequently between Canada and the US to meet with team members, internal stakeholder and regulators (with a focus on major office locations at Enbridge Gas) - Up to approximately 30% travel.

  • Production assets is expected to come into scope at a future time.

Physical Requirements:

Include but not limited to: Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
