Position Summary The Transplant Organ Recovery Coordinator is responsible for managing the entire organ recovery process, from evaluating organ offers to coordinating recovery and transplant procedures. Working closely with the transplant surgeon and physician, the coordinator ensures organs are recovered and transplanted to the intended recipients according to established protocols. This role requires advanced clinical knowledge and experience in transplantation to assess, manage, and oversee all aspects of donated organ care, including evaluation, admission, management, and disposition. The coordinator integrates Shared Leadership, Evidence-Based Practice, Relationship-Based Care, and standards of excellence into daily practice to improve patient outcomes. The coordinator works under the clinical direction of the Division Chief of Transplant Surgery, the Medical and Surgical Directors of the organ-specific transplant program, and reports to the Senior Director of the Transplant Program.
