Your essential job is Aqusition Program Management and will include but may not be limited to:
  • Work with leading-edge companies, academia, and government organizations to provide critical defense manufacturing solutions.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute various AFWERX-related events, such as program reviews and conferences.
  • Manage Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Tech Transition (STTR) programs to develop leading edge manufacturing capabilities in Engine Production with Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Composite Structures, Semi-Conductor Production,Radiation-Tolerant Electronics, System Integration and Interoperability, Affordable Energetics, and/or Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing.
Duties to be independently executed include but are not limited to:
Program planning and execution
  • Build and coordinate the Acquisition Strategy report, briefing, and associated documentation
  • Build Requests for Proposal, Statements of Work/Objectives, and contract/financial documents
  • Coordinate the integrated product team to accomplish program execution
  • Stakeholder management - coordinate POCs, offices, interactions, scheduling, meeting minutes
Financial and Contract Monitoring and Evaluation
  • Spend plans and forecasts, monthly vendor review of Contractor Funds Status Report, Estimates At Completion, etc.
  • Schedule analysis, including critical path, inclusion of risks, etc.
  • Coordinate contract award schedules and milestones with contracting
  • Coordinate with Finance on MIPRs, Form 9, 7600A Interagency Agreements, Business Management Reviews, etc.
Risk Management
  • Coordinates with vendors for risk mapping, risk tracking, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Conducts regular risk review meetings, elevating any high risks to leadership
Qualifications Required:
  • 8+ years of program management experience in a DoD acquisition program office or equivalent.
  • Inclusive of 2+ years of experience with US government Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE).
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills, organizational and workload management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated performance as an independent self-starter, independently leading projects with sizeable teams and budgets.
  • U.S. Citizenship
Highly Desirable Skills:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • Experience working with the Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and Small Business Tech Transition (STTR) programs.
  • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Program Management Certification
Helpful But Not Essential Experience:
  • Experience in or knowledge of Engine Production with Additive Manufacturing, Advanced Composite Structures, Semi-Conductor Production, Radiation-Tolerant Electronics, System Integration and Interoperability, Affordable Energetics, and/or Artificial Intelligence in Manufacturing.
  • Experience in assessing the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) of new technologies.
  • 2+ years of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) experience or education.
Clearance Requirements:
  • A Secret clearance is required.
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
This is currently a hybrid position, requiring regular attendance in offices at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. At any time, the customer can require 100% on-site attendance.
Travel up to 25% will be required to government and industry locations.
