Responsibilities

Join Our Dynamic Team as a Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable!

Are you a detail-oriented financial wizard with a passion for accuracy and efficiency? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where your analytical skills can shine? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking a Senior Accountant, AP to join our vibrant team and play a crucial role in our financial operations.

What You'll Do:

As our Senior Accountant, AP, you will be at the heart of our accounting department, ensuring that our financial records are impeccable and our processes run smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Invoice Processing Maestro: Handle a minimum of 80 invoices daily, meticulously verifying, recording, and processing transactions to maintain our high standards of accuracy.
  • Data Accuracy Champion: Ensure incoming invoice data is correct and accurately coded, safeguarding our financial integrity.
  • Petty Cash Guardian: Reconcile and maintain our Petty Cash accounts, ensuring every cent is accounted for.
  • Tax Schedule Specialist: Keep our income tax return schedules reconciled and up-to-date.
  • Record-Keeping Expert: Maintain comprehensive records, including ledgers, journals, invoices, receipts, and all information related to accounts payable.
  • Team Player: Assist our accounting department in daily, monthly, and annual activities, generating schedules, resolving discrepancies, and supporting audits with your keen eye for detail.
  • Communication Pro: Liaise with vendors and staff procurers to ensure charges are accurate, payments are received promptly, and statements are reconciled seamlessly.
  • Policy Developer: Contribute to the development of accounts payable procedures and policies, helping us streamline our processes.
  • Lifelong Learner: Participate in ongoing education opportunities to stay ahead of industry trends and developments.
  • Versatile Contributor: Be ready to perform other duties as assigned, showcasing your adaptability and commitment to our team's success.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience working with accounts payable.

Experience with SAP or similar ERP software suite required.

Concur experience preferred.

Great Plains Microsoft 365 experience preferred.

Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) required.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook skills required.
