Facilities Maintenance Worker I- Seasonal, Temporary Readiness -Town of Truckee, CA ($31.48/hr - $42.50/hr)

The Town of Truckee is looking for dedicated, dependable individuals to join our Seasonal Readiness team in the Public Works Department. This temporary position plays a critical role in keeping our town accessible and functioning smoothly during winter storms and challenging weather conditions. Snow removal isn’t just about clearing pathways – it’s about maintaining safe, accessible sidewalks and public spaces so residents can move freely, and visitors can enjoy all that Truckee has to offer. Your work helps keep the entire Town operational when it matters most.

The ideal candidate is responsible, available as the storms come in, and can work in a skilled and independent manner without close supervision. The primary duties of this position include snow removal and general facilities/trails maintenance.  This position is a Facilities I entry level position with no previous facilities maintenance experience required. The position is expected to last from early October through March and requires a minimum of a Class C drivers’ license with a Class A/B desirable.
