As a Sr. Principal, Solutions Architect at MetroStar, you'll serve as a strategic technical leade designing and implementing scalable AWS cloud infrastructure across IL5 through IL6+ domains, and also serving as a bridge between customers, teams, growth strategy, and technology innovation. Your work will help set direction, elevate team performance, and deliver secure, mission-critical outcomes.


What You'll Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary technical leader for customers with a focus on translating strategic business objectives, development goals, and security requirements into actionable cloud solutions.
  • Lead, mentor, and empower cross-functional teams. Build collaboration, ownership, and excellence within your group.
  • Drive growth by identifying new opportunities for efficiency, scalability, and innovation, and use the insights you gather to push for thoughtful modernization and improvement of our technology roadmaps.
  • Architect, deploy, and manage AWS infrastructure at scale in complex, highly classified environments (IL5 to IL6+). Be hands-on with cloud architecture patterns, microservices, serverless, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), and compliance/security best practices.


What We're Looking For



  • Active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly
  • 10+ years in roles such as Technical Solution Architect or similar, especially with enterprise cloud-architecture in highly secure, multi-domain environments
  • Certifications that satisfy DoD 8140/8570 (e.g. Security+ or higher)
  • Deep experience building and scaling AWS infrastructure across classification boundaries (IL5 to IL6+)
  • Strong background in cloud architecture, microservices, serverless, containers (Docker, Kubernetes), security & compliance standards
  • Proficient in scripting or programming (Python, Java, or JavaScript)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, including conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strategic mindset, with experience solving challenging technical problems in mission driven contexts


SALARY RANGE: $230,000 - $351,000



  • The salary range for this position is determined based on qualifications, skills, and relevant experience. The final salary offered will be determined based on several factors including:
  • The candidate's professional background and relevant work experience
  • The specific responsibilities of the role and organizational needs
  • Internal equity and alignment with current team compensation
  • This role is also eligible for additional compensation, subject to the terms and policies of MetroStar, which may include:

    • Performance-based bonuses
    • Company-paid training and/or certifications
    • Referral bonuses
