ATI is seeking to hire a Commodity Manager to support the Maintenance, Repair, and Operating Supplies (MRO) for our Specialty Rolled Products business unit. This position will be based onsite in Natrona Heights, PA. The Commodity Manager is responsible for setting strategy and implementing initiatives to establish world class procurement services for MRO categories and integrated supply management. This role is an individual contributor yet accountable for the development and execution of the MRO cost reduction program and inventory optimization through the integrated supplier's team of 17. The Procurement Manager will act as the SRP program manager for integrated supply and be responsible for establishing an environment of customer service and continuous improvement with ATI maintenance and operations stakeholders. Additional Responsibilities
- Manage the procurement and inventory of MRO supplies, including Procurement Operations responsibilities and Strategic Sourcing
- Gather and analyze spend data, understand stakeholder requirements, assess current contract coverage and gaps, identify and vet potential suppliers, analyze market conditions, and formulate sourcing strategy
- Optimize inventory, balancing cost and part availability to meet maintenance service levels
- Influence, and persuade cross-functional teams to help develop and execute projects
- Present recommendations to senior leadership, explain opportunities and risks, and gaps in analysis
- Manage relationships with key cross functional stakeholders and suppliers
- Manage integrated supplier relationship, including supplier system integration with Oracle and resolving Buy-Pay issues as required
- Quickly respond to stakeholder requests, including supply needs and processing problems
- Resolve issues during the procure-to-pay process
- Develop cost models and analyze trends
- Manage various requests for information, proposals, and quotes.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements
- Convert requisitions to purchase orders via Oracle
- Employ continuous improvement methodologies.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 years of relevant procurement experience in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or advanced degree
- MRO procurement experience
- Oracle ERP experience
- Certified Professional in Supply Chain or Project Management Institute certification
- Project management experience
- Manufacturing industry experience
- Experience in change management
