A co-op or internship with Peoples Gas offers hands-on experience in financial modeling, strategic analysis, and Power BI dashboard development. You'll collaborate with Engineering, Sales, and Business Development teams to support real projects that drive business decisions-making it a powerful launchpad for your career!

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generates financial results by modeling project inputs into all PGS business financial models. This requires coordination between Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Business Development to ensure accurate financial modeling.
• Assist with maintaining and enhancing PGS's financial assumptions/processes and the deployment of models.
• Gathers and maintains needed sources of information necessary to support modeling, analysis, Sales, and decision-making activities.
• Prepare charts, graphs, presentations, and summaries as needed in support of project feasibilities and strategic business objectives.
• Maintain and modify existing Power BI Dashboard used for project reporting
• Assists with ad-hoc strategic analysis as needed

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Current student in Business Analytics or Finance field of study
• Excel basics (use of formulas, formatting)
• Knowledge of PowerPoint

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE?

• Advanced Excel (indexing, arrays, Pivot tables)
• Knowledge of Organization and Process Improvement
• Familiarity with Power BI and MySQL

Note: Housing and relocation assistance are not provided. This opportunity is best suited for students who are or will be local to the area.

Qualifications: Currently enrolled in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of an undergraduate program, or a graduate program, at an ABET-accredited university or college. Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. A pre-employment drug screening, as well as a background check (including education, employment, criminal and motor vehicle) will also be conducted as part of the pre-employment screening. A physical may be conducted if required for the role
