Neurodiagnostic Assistant Job Responsibilities:


  • Performs duties that assist the Neurodiagnostic Technologist and department which include but are not limited to: maintaining and stocking supplies and equipment; patient interaction that may include scheduling appointments and explaining procedures
  • Prepares patient rooms for neurodiagnostic procedures; equipment and supply set up and other related duties as established by the department that are consistent with patient and technical care for this level.
  • Monitors, in Level 3 and 4 epilepsy centers, continuous EEG patients under the supervision of a Neurodiagnostic Technician.
  • Acknowledges clinical seizure recognition, patient safety and how to respond to patient emergencies in the EMU and learns to communicate effectively with the patient

  • Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start
  • Licensure - None required
  • Experience - None required
  • Education - High School or GED
