Job Description

At Kalypso, a Rockwell Automation Business, we specialize in guiding clients through their operational transformation journeys that leverage digital solutions, cybersecurity, networking and cutting-edge automation technology. We help clients define strategies, implement solutions, and achieve sustainable results.

As a Senior Cloud Developer, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of multiple projects, ensuring the quality of work produced meets the client's business needs and priorities. The work is demanding, and provides unparalleled exposure to unique opportunities. Our focus is helping clients extract value from software solutions, not just on making the technology work. Kalypso hosts applications in AWS, Azure and GCP with additional specialization in AWS Gov and Azure Gov environments. This role is to support all environments, but special emphasis on the Government environments.

You will work in a remote setting and report to the Senior Manager.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Designing and implementing Cloud infrastructure; Cloud monitoring for cost optimization; Cloud identity and security solutions; Cloud data storage and management platforms; and business continuity
  • Face-to-face interaction with clients to design cloud infrastructure solutions that address support new implementations or migrations of existing applications
  • Leading, designing, developing, and providing oversight to the development team related to the cloud infrastructure design, testing and deployment for implementations and migrations
  • Collaborate as a key member of the sales team to represent the solution offering to the client and align the proposed solution
  • Manage and develop estimates for client implementations, timelines and overall planning
  • Maintain technical skills and knowledge of market trends and competitive insights; collaborate and share with the technical community
  • Work natively in a mixed Windows/Linux environment and can fully comprehend and implement hybrid architectures
  • Apply technical knowledge and client insights to create a modernization roadmap. Architect solutions to meet business and IT needs, ensuring technical viability of new projects and successful deployments, while orchestrating key resources and infusing key Infrastructure technologies Windows and Linux IaaS, Security, Networking, etc.), and DevOps technologies (containers, serverless, cloud native, etc.) as appropriate
  • Design and maintain solutions that adhere minimally to NIST 800-171 Security Standards
The Essentials - You Will Have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
  • 5+ years of experience working in a Cloud hosted environment, AWS, Azure, GCP.
  • SCLC experience working with CI/CD pipelines code and artifact repositories for application build and promotion, Cloud DevOps.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Science cloud-based solutions utilizing services such as IOT Hub, Data Factory, Machine Learning, Stream Analytics
  • 5+ years minimum experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition, Architecture/Design/Detailing of Processes.
  • Database knowledge including:
    • NoSQL (Cosmos, Mongo, InfluxDB, Dynamodb)
    • SQL (Synapsis, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, Oracle, MS-SQL)
  • Prior experience in Data Science cloud-based solutions utilizing services such as IOT Hub, Data Factory, Machine Learning, Stream Analytics.
