United States, Texas, Georgetown

Your Job

As the PMO Manager, you will establish and lead the Project Management Organization (PMO) for the Aerospace and Defense Solutions (ADS) division. Your primary responsibility is to provide ADS project teams with the structure, tools, and guidance needed to successfully execute their projects, while enabling clear and consistent visibility of project status across the organization. The PMO is envisioned as a lightweight, supportive framework designed to empower project teams to own and run their initiatives. You will ensure project health, risks, and progress are transparent to leadership, enabling better decision-making and supporting ADS's growth objectives.

Our Team

You will join a high-impact leadership team committed to operational excellence and strategic execution. The PMO is integrated with engineering and project teams to enable repeatable success, reduce reinventing the wheel, and support ADS's path toward becoming a $1B organization.

What You Will Do

  • Establish and maintain frameworks, standards, and processes for project management across ADS. Ensure consistency and compliance through gate reviews, documentation, and change control. Define what "good project management" means for ADS.
  • Lead a small team of project managers that are directly responsible for managing larger scale, division wide initiatives.
  • Maintain visibility into all active and proposed projects, helping teams prioritize and allocate resources based on strategic value and capacity. Provide insight into overall project portfolio status when new initiatives compete for resources or funding.
  • Track project execution against KPIs (schedule adherence, cost variance, risk exposure). Develop dashboards and reporting cadences for leadership.
  • Train and mentor project managers and cross-functional teams on best practices. Build scalable tools (templates, playbooks, systems) to make project execution easier and more predictable. Institutionalize project discipline as part of ADS's culture.
  • Connect executive vision to project execution by translating company goals into executable projects and programs. Provide feedback to leadership to ensure the project portfolio remains aligned with ADS strategy.
  • Facilitate weekly PAC meetings and help continuously improve the ADS NPI Stage Gate process.
  • Release and maintain a unified project management playbook to guide all projects-big and small.
  • Provide leadership with timely updates on project health, risks, and progress to enable faster, better decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Support strategic initiatives directly and coach others through the project management process.
  • Represent the PMO in leadership meetings and strategic planning sessions.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a PMO or project leadership role.
  • Previous experience developing and/or leading a PMO function.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification/training.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive project accountability.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Master's degree in Project Management, Engineering Management, or Business Administration.
  • Experience in aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of project management software and portfolio management tools.
