     | Position Summary |  
     
       Under the direction of the Main Library User Services Desk Manager, the Evening Student Supervisor Specialist I provides comprehensive front-line library services through multiple channels. This position assists patrons at the service desk and via phone and email with circulation of books, media, loanable technology, course reserves, and resource sharing materials; provides information assistance about the library and its resources; and participates in the hiring, training, and supervision of student employees. 
Additional responsibilities include maintaining library collections through shelving and stacks maintenance activities; ensuring accessibility compliance by remediating course reserves materials to meet 
       WCAG standards; processing materials for circulation and transport; maintaining accurate patron records and item records; and handling specialized services including payments, borrowers' cards, student registration holds, and policy interpretation. 
The Evening Student Supervisor Specialist I serves as the person in charge in the absence of the User Services Desk Coordinator or the Lead Student Supervisor and may provide assistance to Security during evening and weekend emergency situations. 
Work is performed in a team environment under general supervision following established practices and procedures. Work schedule is typically 1-10pm Sundays through Thursdays. Schedule is subject to change during breaks and intersession.  |

       - Work regular shifts at the service desk assisting patrons with circulation, reserves, and resource sharing services.
 - Providing basic research information assistance to walk-in patrons.
 - Troubleshoot and report issues with public printing, scanning, and study room reservations.
 - Perform specialized circulation services such as creating and updating accounts; taking payments for library fees.
 - Supervise and serve as a resource for student assistants.
 - Interpret policies and procedures and resolve disputes.
 - Assist patrons via email or phone with circulation or general information services, including providing online payment options for library fees.
 - Resolve account issues including placing and clearing holds on student records in both the Libraries' and Registrar's databases.
 - Retrieve and prepare material for holds or transport.
 - Receive and process UGA and non-UGA materials through the mail and route appropriately
