The UC San Diego Labor Center is seeking a dedicated and motivated candidate to serve as the Operations Assistant. This position will be instrumental in anchoring our efforts in San Diego by coordinating outreach events, developing programs, and building strong organizational relationships within the community and with labor organizations. The Operations Assistant will provide executive-level administrative support to the Executive Director of the UC San Diego Labor Center on a wide range of assignments. Manages day-to-day administrative operations, and provides special project support. Assists with coordination of special events. Interacts with Labor Center personnel, develops and implements procedures, communicates these procedures to team members, and documents and archives developed protocols. Responsible for purchasing supplies, oversight of routine and exceptional account expenditures, and creating, maintaining and reconciling budgets. Responsible for coordinating hiring and onboarding for undergraduate students and short-term employees.  Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $61,429 - $88,030 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $29.42 - $42.16 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
