DESCRIPTION

Under general supervision manage metrics processes to measure efficiency and effectiveness for Landscape Services business services. Identify and make recommendations for "key" metrics to measure effort toward improving overall customer satisfaction and make recommendations for proactive solutions. Compile and analyze data from multiple sources within Facilities Management (FM) management tools (Maximo, Oracle, Financial Link) to develop new and existing metrics. Apply statistical and financial analyses calculations and produce spreadsheets and graphs in Microsoft Excel. Analyze processes to determine process improvements, eliminate or minimize bottlenecks, recommend changes to improve cycle time and identify opportunities to improve customer service.

Conduct non-conformance investigation and root cause analysis of issues related to corrective maintenance. Collaborate with FM and Work Management teams for issues related to general or preventive maintenance. Ensure that FM incidents receive the proper level of failure analysis. Identify repeat failures, gather data and information, determine, and evaluate solutions or alternatives and develop plans to improve performance. Assist Landscape Services leadership in evaluating processes and developing controls. Recommend measures to improve reliability, accountability, quality, performance, work conditions, safety and to increase the department's efficiency. Analyze discrepancies in Landscape Services' overhead budget provided by FM Business & Finance. Research and identify sources of discrepancy and make recommendations for resolution.

In conjunction with OMCP (Operations Maintenance & Capital Programs) Communications Manager, serve as the content manager for the FM Landscape Services' website. Develop and maintain content as needed in consultation with relevant staff and ACT.

Applies professional concepts to conduct analytical studies or projects of moderate scope and complexity to address a variety of policy, research, and procedural issues. Fully analyzes issues and problems, gathers data and information, finds, and evaluates alternatives and makes sound recommendations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of applicable policy analysis techniques. Experience demonstrated by skill to logically and analyze complex situations and data. Develop clear and concise reports or recommendations for management. Proven ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret data and provide an appropriate response.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze information, policies and procedures, and to identify and apply effective strategies. Ability to formulate creative solutions to new or evolving issues or situations.

  • Working knowledge of common organization- or research-specific and other computer application programs. Demonstrated ability to extract accurate and useful information from computerized databases and other sources, conduct analyses and prepare proposals and reports. Experience working with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).

  • Advanced skill level demonstrated through experience using Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, Macromedia Flash and intermediate skill level in PowerPoint and Project.

  • Knowledge of skilled trades and associated language to develop recommendations for curriculum and coursework requirements for apprenticeship programs for Facilities Management Leadership review.

  • Ability to understand in-depth accreditation process.

  • Strong written communication skills demonstrated through experience with the ability to compose correspondence independently; proofread letters, memos and reports using applicable rules of punctuation, grammar and style.

  • Demonstrates ability to analyze, research and synthesize large amounts of data with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficient in ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.

  • Demonstrated experience evaluating business and administrative processes and/or experience in working with structured workflow in a building trades environment.

  • Experience identifying key measurements of process performance and practices and analyzing comparisons.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain records accurately and follow projects to completion.

  • Ability to organize workload priorities, manage multiple projects simultaneously, be flexible to respond in stressful situations to unexpected job demands with frequent interruptions and minimal supervision.

  • Knowledge of data formatting and file structures, storage media, data transfer, data editing, manipulation, and quality control techniques.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply HR policy as required to administer business and departmental processes including coordination of hiring, performance appraisals, job card updates, etc.

  • Graduation from college with a major in business administration, economics, statistics, educational administration, political science or an allied field, with progressive experience in executive support, administrative analysis, or operations research, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $60,300 - $103,900 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $28.88 - $49.76

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
