job purpose: The Director of Portfolio Strategy will play a critical role in shaping fairlife's long-term growth strategy. This role will lead mid-to-long term strategic initiatives that guide decision-making at the enterprise level, including macro trend analysis, market intelligence, and demand forecasting /projections. We are seeking an ambitious candidate with strong critical thinking skills and growth mindset.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills. This position is ideal for mid-career professionals seeking to make impactful contributions and executive leadership team exposure.

responsibilities:



  • Lead the development of and alignment to fairlife portfolio's long-range strategic roadmap by partnering with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, R&D, Sales, Supply Chain)


  • Own market/enterprise reporting, including macroeconomic monitoring, retailer and competitor landscape, M&A activity, opportunity mapping, and more


  • Create space for organizational discussions and bring an unbiased perspective as you guide end-to-end strategic workshops and ongoing collaboration routines


  • Educate and inspire ELT by surfacing relevant strategic growth projects and bringing thought leadership with potential impact/actions on emerging themes (such as GLP-1)


  • Build a winning and engaged team supported by a strong ecosystem of strategic partners



skills/qualifications required:



  • 8-10 years of experience in the CPG industry or in a related analytical field, and/or some experience in professional services (e.g. consulting)


  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field; MBA preferred


  • Advanced levels in Excel to build and navigate models, run regressions/correlations, etc.


  • Experience leveraging POS data (Nielsen/IRI) and Consumer Panel data strongly preferred


  • Excellent verbal and written communication and storytelling skills with a passion for bringing consumer trends to life


  • Ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
