Purpose

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will provide high-level electrical engineering services to Worley and its customers-delivering safe, efficient, and cost-effective solutions across multi-disciplinary projects. You'll contribute technical expertise, leadership, and mentorship within the electrical engineering team while ensuring project success from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical engineering services that meet Worley, client, and regulatory specifications-on schedule and within budget.
  • Initiate, manage, and supervise electrical engineering project activities.
  • Perform and review electrical design tasks, including:
  • Preparing detailed designs, drawings, specifications, data sheets, calculations, and technical reports.
  • Writing requisitions, conducting technical bid evaluations, and preparing purchase orders.
  • Supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning efforts.
  • Participating in project meetings, preparing progress reports, and ensuring adherence to checking and quality procedures.
  • Serve as the Electrical Engineering Lead on assigned projects when required.
  • Define project scope, assign tasks, promote workshare, and oversee progress for assigned teams.
  • Ensure all deliverables comply with Worley standards, client expectations, and applicable codes.
  • Identify and proactively resolve technical or scope discrepancies.
  • Stay current with advancements and innovations in electrical engineering.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers and designers.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Technical and Industry Experience

  • Extensive experience in electrical engineering within the mining, minerals, and metals or similar heavy industrial sectors.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and integration with other disciplines.
  • Practical knowledge of applicable U.S. and international electrical standards, codes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency with electrical engineering design software and tools.
  • Proficient in general business software, including the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, coordinate multiple stakeholders, and deliver quality results in dynamic project environments.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering required.
  • EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) experience a plus.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of West Virginia, or the ability to obtain one preferred.
