As a Pricing Analyst, you'll have both analytical and cross-functional responsibilities that support strategic pricing initiatives within the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), transportation industry. You'll be responsible for interpreting and analyzing complex datasets, developing pricing proposals, and running scenario-based models to optimize pricing for both new and existing customers. This role requires strong Excel skills, close coordination with our sales team, and direct engagement with carrier partners.

What you'll do on a typical day

  • Lead bid preparation and gather relevant data for pricing events
  • Source LTL carriers and negotiate competitive rates
  • Analyze procurement results and support pricing recommendations
  • Prepare freight spend studies to identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales and account teams on pricing needs
  • Load and maintain contracts in RXO's TMS
  • Keep the carrier contract database accurate and up to date
  • Communicate with carrier partners to clarify data and gather insights
  • Run pricing scenarios to support strategic decision making
  • Support continuous improvement of customer pricing strategies
  • Mentors associate level roles

What you need to succeed at RXO:

At a minimum, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 1 year of Pricing and/or Analytics Experience
  • Fluency in Windows applications and Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

It'd be great if you also have:

  • Experience with LTL pricing contract management systems highly desirable
  • Ability to provide timely and professional support to all internal/external customers and vendors
  • Strong aptitude for understanding and analyzing large amounts of data from multiple sources
  • Ability to identify opportunities to increase accuracy and optimize resources
  • A self-starter attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset; constantly seeks ways to improve processes, challenge the status quo, and bring forward innovative ideas
  • Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
