Job Description




As a Security Professional - Government Hall Patrol - Full Time in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor government facilities and conduct routine patrols to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and exceptional communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment while assisting visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report any security-related irregularities, including property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual incidents.
  • Interact professionally with members of the public and/or employees, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or observations during each shift.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as directed in case of emergencies or critical incidents.
  • Adhere to all company and client site-specific procedures while upholding Allied Universal's standards of professionalism.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • Ability to work at locations with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
