Security Officer - Mall Center Patrol

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Mall Patrol in Irvine, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols and providing outstanding customer service to both visitors and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report on any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues found during patrols.
• Communicate professionally with tenants, guests, and staff to address inquiries and/or direct them as needed.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders when required by site protocols.
• Maintain detailed records and logs of patrols, incidents, and security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
