Manager Facilities Portfolio

Job Summary

Oversee a portfolio of complex facilities-related needs and projects for assigned customers through departmental and executive relationship management. Responsible for the planning and execution of assigning and reporting for all projects within the portfolio. Monitor and control the facilities standards, processes, interiors, preconstruction activities and close out documentation. Self-perform as the lead project manager for select special projects. Manages and directs a team of facilities professionals responsible for applying a variety of skills needed to perform the execution of other complex facilities tasks within the customer's portfolio.

Essential Functions
  • Establish and maintain in depth working knowledge of the needs of the assigned customers. Lead project prioritization and assignments while contributing resources as needed to ensure the facilities project portfolio is completely aligned to the enterprise strategic facilities plan of the organization.

  • Provide all facilities-related services including direct management of our one book of work including all planning design and construction projects, analyzing strategic alignment and project prioritization, perform triage and due diligence for project ideas and issues, vendor and consultant management. Maintain facilities, project portfolio management tools and reporting to support the customer's decision-making process.

  • Assess and apply resources required for projects within the portfolio and coordinate with the leadership of various departments across the organization in order to plan, schedule, and execute to accomplish the facilities project objectives.

  • Lead and manage daily functioning of the system interiors and estimating team including coaching and mentoring and work daily assignments. Support staff development through goal setting, training, communication, and accountability.

  • Manage the development preliminary PVR budgets for project budgets based on an initial request from the business owners and develop detailed cost bid packages based on construction drawings. Price out and implement change orders as required.

  • Develops and monitors system level design and finish standards for all planning design and construction including standard of work for contract development, standard project triage, capacity tracking and reporting.

  • Manages our team's groundbreaking and ribbon cutting initiatives. Participate in ongoing monitoring of quality and safety outcomes and project/program effectiveness.

  • Maintains knowledge of current trends, developments, and applicable regulatory codes and system standards by reading appropriate books, journals, and other literature and attending related conferences and seminars. Maintains peer relationships in the field to share issues/ideas. Demonstrates knowledge of hospital safety and infection control policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree Design, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, Business Administration, related field or equivalent education and experience

  • 5 years of relevant experience. Leadership experience or managing multiple complex projects with cross-functional teams and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders.

Preferred

  • Health care project management experience in construction, medical/clinical projects, enterprise project/portfolio management, or related

  • Proven process improvement experience in a healthcare setting
