Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Associate for the department of Psychiatry at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.

Principal Investigator is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to contribute to multiple projects focused on the contributions of genetic and environment influences to the development of substance use and disorders and related behavioral conditions. Responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Associate include designing, organizing, executing and communicating, through scientific journal articles and conference presentations, the results of research studies that further the aims of the labs and the funded research projects within the labs. Our work involves large-scale gene identification projects, mapping genetic and environmental risk across development, and the translation of genetic epidemiological findings to improve prevention, intervention, and treatment. Other responsibilities of this position include providing guidance to undergraduate and graduate students and translating research findings to community members such that it can be used in policy and practice.

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

  • Design, organize, and execute research studies that further the aims of the Translational Psychiatric Genomics lab.
