The R. Ken Coit College of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Toxicology Department seeks a Research Technician for the lab of Dr. Xinglong Wang. The Wang lab focuses on Alzheimer's disease research. The successful candidate will assist with setting up experiments, and operate scientific equipment. Work under general supervision. | Duties & Responsibilities |
- Collaborate with lab staff and graduate students on a variety of translational research projects. Record results, analyze date, and interpret test results.
- Help the maintenance of mouse models for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
- Clean, operate, maintain and troubleshoot scientific equipment.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- High degree of technical skills and knowledge in laboratory science.

| Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

- Particularly protein purification experience.
