Manager, Regional Sales

About the Role:

The Regional Sales Manager forecasts, plans, and meets sales goals for assigned national fleet accounts. This role must have a high-level of product knowledge while providing excellent customer service to current customers and great interpersonal skills to onboard new customers. The Regional Sales Manager will be an integral part of growing business and increasing profitability for Wabash Parts.

Your Responsibilities:



  • Sales Planning and Forecasting

    • Create and manage sales plans and budgets based on forecasts for their assigned accounts.
    • Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to achieve targets.
    • Report on sales performance within assigned accounts.
    • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.


  • Customer Support

    • Support accounts with best practices on inventory management such as bin labeling.
    • Train customers on eCommerce and digital platforms.
    • Administer demand planning for inventory turns in collaboration with customers.
    • Onboard new accounts and serve as a liaison between our parts distribution center and fleet terminals.


  • Drive Results

    • Foster relationships with assigned accounts.
    • Assess new business opportunities and drive customer acquisition, retention and expansion initiatives.
    • Identify barriers within sales processes and assigned accounts, the develop solutions to improve the process.
    • Maximize sales and gross profit and ensure goals are met.
    • Assist in resolving complex customer issues with a focus on long-term satisfaction and retention.
    • Support the Wabash Parts team with special projects that drive business results.


  • Product Knowledge

    • Continually grow technical, product, and application knowledge of parts essential to the heavy-duty vehicle aftermarket.
    • Keep current on new products and product updates in the market.
    • Proactively seek opportunities to document and share knowledge of parts and markets to support the Wabash Parts team.




Let's Talk About Your Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, and/or business, OR 4-10 years of sales and/or customer service experience required.
  • Previous regional sales management experience is required.
  • Expert knowledge of heavy-duty truck and trailer equipment and industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products with ability to conduct basic database tasks in Excel.
  • Experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and/or sales force automation tools preferred.
  • Proven success in meeting and exceeding sales goals and business results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to provide personable and professional customer service.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and time management skills.
  • Strong active listening and strategic influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with all levels of internal and external personnel.
  • Ability to stay adaptable to changing environments and tasks.

  • Physical Requirements


  • Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs.
  • Travel required (car and air): 25-50% per month
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer as well as driving on the road.
