Department Summary The University of North Texas at Dallas (UNT Dallas) is part of the University of North Texas System, which also includes UNT Denton and the UNT Health Fort Worth. UNT Dallas is committed to academic excellence, community engagement, and student success. UNT Dallas, which is a standalone university in southern Dallas, invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Psychology, at the rank of Associate Professor of Psychology, with a specialization in neuroscience, beginning Fall 2026. The appointment will be made without tenure at the time of hire but is a tenure-track position Position Overview The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate excellence in teaching neuroscience courses (e.g., Neuroscience Methods Laboratory, Capstone Research in Neuroscience) in the Department of Psychology, which offers both a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Psychology with a concentration in Neuroscience; maintain an active research program; and contribute to departmental and university service. We are particularly interested in student-centered, innovative, and energetic candidates who can contribute to the Psychology department through the development of the B.S. in Psychology-Neuroscience concentration program and the enhancement of undergraduate research in neuroscience, in addition to excellence in teaching. Minimum Qualifications * Ph.D. in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a closely related field (or equivalent degree) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The ideal candidate will be committed to advancing UNT Dallas's Classroom to Career initiative-an innovative effort that bridges academic achievement and career readiness. This includes strengthening industry partnerships, embedding experiential learning (such as internships, research, and service learning) into the curriculum, integrating career and character competencies, and fostering AI fluency and essential power skills like communication, adaptability, teamwork, and leadership. The candidate should also support the development of new academic programs aligned with workforce needs and pathways to family-sustaining careers.
