Workers Compensation Associate

Department: UHC: Workers Compensation

Summary:Works under the direction of management to provide case management and navigation support for patients and healthcare providers. Coordinates outreach efforts with adjusters and community partners to ensure patient access and optimize care flow. Conducts audits of completed work to verify accuracy and maintain quality standards. Performs other duties as needed.

Knowledge and Skills: Good knowledge of workers' compensation regulations, guidelines, and requirements. Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT codes, and medical terminology. Essential Technical/Motor Skills: Able to read and write legibly. Proficient use of computers, printers, fax machines, and software essential to the position, e.g., LLEAP, Outlook. Essential Interpersonal Skills: Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others. Can work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure. Essential Mental Abilities: Able to communicate Problem solving/reasoning, analyzing, explaining/teaching, and attention to detail. Ability to establish goals. Ability to develop and trend from multiple sources. Ability to prioritize activities, multi-task and deal with interruptions. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet timelines while managing others against specific goals and objectives. Able to resolve and answer immediate issues and questions. Essential Sensory Abilities: See adequately to read computer screens, medical records, and documents necessary to the position. Ability to distinguish color. Ability to hear in person and via telephone.

Education and Experience: Minimum of three years' experience in Workers' Compensation, including case management and compliance
