Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Perform code reviews and guide the team along with doing active development Work with very like-minded technologies and solve challenging problems Build out capabilities to the existing framework to support some of the AI/ML scenarios within the client relating to independent testing Requirements: Strong Python programming skills; experience building and maintaining scalable applications Hands on experience deploying and managing applications on OpenShift Working knowledge of Apache Kafka, including producers/consumers and real time streaming pipelines Proficiency in conducting code reviews and using Git based workflows Strong communication and teamwork abilities Solid problem solving and analytical thinking Attention to detail and commitment to code quality Adaptable, proactive, and able to take ownership of deliverables Experience with Starburst / Trino for distributed SQL query processing Strong SQL skills for querying, data analysis, and performance optimization Familiarity with Hitachi S3 for data storage and integration Hands on experience with Redis for caching and high performance data operations Working knowledge of JIRA for agile project tracking and workflow management A proactive, go getter who takes initiative without waiting for direction A strong team player who collaborates effectively and supports colleagues Consistently looks beyond day-to-day tasks to identify opportunities, propose improvements, and contribute meaningful solutions that elevate the entire team Desired skills: Exposure to latest technologies Pay Range: $58.26-$66.26 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
