Position Overview:

The IT Service Management (ITSM) Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, and continuous improvement of the organization's ITSM platform and associated service management processes. This role ensures the ITSM tool effectively supports ITIL-aligned practices, delivers a positive user experience, and provides actionable insights.

The ITSM Administrator works closely with IT operations, service owners, and business stakeholders to optimize workflows, maintain data integrity, and drive service excellence across the enterprise.



  • Administer and configure the ITSM platform.
  • Manage users, roles, permissions, groups, and access controls.
  • Configure and maintain forms, workflows, automations, notifications, SLAs, and business rules.
  • Perform regular platform health checks, upgrades, and patching coordination.
  • Support and enhance ITIL-aligned processes including:

    • Incident Management
    • Request Fulfillment
    • Change Management
    • Knowledge Management
    • Asset and Configuration Management (CMDB)


  • Maintain data accuracy and integrity across the ITSM platform.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs.
  • Create and maintain ITSM documentation, job aids, and knowledge articles.
  • Enforce ITSM governance standards, naming conventions, and configuration controls.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, standardization, and service optimization.
  • Ensure processes are well-documented, standardized, measurable, and consistently followed.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



    • Strong understanding of ITIL practices and service management principles.
    • Proficiency with ITAM/ITSM platforms.
    • Ability to generate scripts and automate processes.
    • Experience with CMDB design, integrations, and data normalization.
    • Organizes and manages time, duties, and activities efficiently.
    • Utilizes Microsoft Office-based applications and other software systems appropriate for this role.


    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of experience owning or leading ITSM processes. Hands-on experience with an enterprise ITSM platform (e.g., ServiceNow). Experience improving ITSM maturity in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

    ITIL 4 certification (Managing Professional or equivalent preferred).
