POSITION SUMMARY



The Badging Clerk is responsible for managing, coordinating, and executing the credentialing, vetting, and access authorization process for all personnel, contractors, and visitors requiring entry to a federal installation. This position ensures compliance with federal security regulations, installation access control policies, and all supporting directives governing identity verification and access eligibility.



RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Supervise credentialing office personnel
  • Oversee credentialing office records
  • Maintain all credential records
  • Maintain all credentialing systems
  • Supervise and conduct background checks
  • Ensure all vetting procedures are being followed in accordance with policy and regulation
  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS



  • GED or High School Diploma
  • Must be 21 years old at time of hire
  • Must have United States Citizenship (if naturalized, then must provide original certificate for inspection and copying)
  • Must successfully complete drug screening requirements
  • Must pass criminal background check
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Record clear of any Domestic Violence Convictions
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Able to understand written and verbal orders
  • Able to fill out daily work and time sheet
  • Must be able to stand/be on feet for 8 hours
  • Must be able to walk to work areas

WORKING CONDITIONS

Ability to work during inclement weather. Ability to work during inclement weather. Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 40 lbs. (supplies, trash, etc.). Requires frequent lifting, standing, walking, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday. Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Must have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, trainers, etc.). May be subject to hazards: Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals. Must meet all physical and psychological standards as required by the contract. Travel may be required
