You are a self-motivated professional, always seeking opportunities to expand your skills, contribute to team success, and grow within the mining industry Apply today to join the Ledcor team in Hawthorne or Fallon NV Essential Responsibilities: Operation of a Epiroc DM45 platform drill Operates and understands mechanics of a top head drilling unit equipped with multi-function joy sticks and GPS on a mine site. Complies with all company, client, legislated safety policies and procedures of drilling in a large open pit surface mine. Understands the limitations of the drill rig and the performances it can safely provide. Detects and performs small mechanical repairs to the drill. Communicates effectively and professionally with other team members when needed with the ability to work with minimal supervision. Qualifications: Minimum one year surface mine drilling experience, using various drilling units. Would have thorough knowledge of drill patterns and the structure in which they are developed. MSHA p.48 metal/nonmetal ticket is required; training and support is provided to obtain or update certificate as needed. Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
