IT Infrastructure Intern - Summer 2026

Your main responsibilities

Schindler Elevator Corporation is searching for a highly motivated student interested in an internship supporting our Information Services department. This will be an internship expected to run from June 2026 - August 2026.

The internship will provide a college undergraduate student with the opportunity to learn and develop while getting hands-on experience under our Manager of IT & Compliance, as well as other members of the Schindler Information Technology team.

Assist with the day-to-day operations and support of IT Services teams
Work under the direction of lead team members, gaining increasing responsibilities
Providing technical support and troubleshooting - Supporting network and database administration.
Participating in cybersecurity initiatives.
Documenting IT processes and procedures.
Shadowing experienced IT professionals for learning
Ability to manage work tasks and small projects utilizing software tools (e.g. MS Excel)

What you bring

  • Pursuing a degree in MIS, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree.
  • General knowledge and/or interest in the following infrastructure systems: Microsoft Windows OS and Server, Linux Systems, OS deployment, Virtualization, LAN/WAN.
  • Experience troubleshooting PC hardware and software problems.
  • Possesses a natural ability in the understanding of technology, ability to problem solve and works well in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Reside within reasonable commuting distance to our Headquarters in Morristown, NJ.
