*Please note that benefit packages vary based on hours worked. Summary/Objective Essential Functions 1. Performs a variety of activities related to the transportation of patients. 2. Meet and greet all new all patients under their care. 3. Transport patients to and from medical appointments via ambulance services including patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips and special equipment. 4. Assists patients in and out of vehicles, carries luggage and provides confidential messenger services. 5. Ensures patient is properly identified before transporting. 6. Confirms method of transport and any special needs. 7. Provides superior customer service and attentiveness to patients while transporting them. 8. Recognize your role as part of the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts of your organization. 9. Attend trainings to build understanding and capacity to undertake QAPI work. 10. Carry out QAPI roles and responsibilities as assigned. 11. Follow established policies and procedures in support of QAPI efforts. 12. Look for and share with leadership ideas for improvement in the organization. 13. Communicate to leadership upon witnessing a positive outcome of a QAPI project or detecting barriers preventing project success. 14. Support QAPI efforts both verbally and non-verbally (i.e., via actions and attitude), including adjusting performance and practice in accordance with QAPI initiatives and findings. 15. Participate in compliance trainings as scheduled and adhere to compliance plan. Supervisory Responsibility Work Environment Physical Demands Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work Travel Required Education and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Education and Experience * One year experience in a customer service role.
