Responsibilities

We are currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus for our full time Outpatient Therapists!

Fremont Hospital is a fully accredited, 148-bed private inpatient psychiatric hospital providing quality care for children through adults. The facility provides a full assortment of care which includes assessments, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, partial-hospitalization, intensive outpatient psychiatric treatment as well as chemical dependency outpatient care.

The Outpatient Therapist plays a vital role in providing high-quality outpatient mental health services delivering individual, group, and family therapy to address a range of emotional and mental health needs using a combination of evidence-based treatment interventions consistent with research findings, education, training, and experience. As part of a multidisciplinary team reporting to the program manager, they carry a caseload and conduct patient assessments, develop and implement treatment plans, and collaborate with other professionals to ensure optimal patient care. The Therapist exercises sound judgment, clinical excellence, and sustains therapeutic alliance and patient satisfaction.

Standard Work Hours: 8:30am-5pm, Monday-Friday. Due to the needs of our adolescent IOP program, this role may require evening hours and periodic Saturday coverage that is scheduled in advance. Hour are subject to the needs of the program

Qualifications

Education: Master's degree or doctorate in Social Work (MSW), Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

Licensure/Certification: Active and unrestricted licensure in the state of California as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Psychologist. Associates registered with the Board of Behavioral Sciences considered.

Certification(s): CPR/AED Certification, CPI (non-violent crisis prevention intervention training course) within 90 days of employment and prior to assisting with preventative intervention measures.

Experience: Minimum one (1) year of direct clinical experience in a mental health setting (e.g., outpatient clinics, hospitals).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), experience working with specific populations (e.g., adolescents, adults, older adults), bilingual/multilingual skills.
