As the Float and Specialty Products Manager, the incumbent will lead the current range of products and define the roadmap for the next generations, focused on Vitro's strategic goal of dominating the Commercial market segment, and improve the Residential and Specialty markets too. The incumbent will translate product strategies into detailed requirements and prototypes by leading the process to effectively define, develop, and launch products.



Responsibilities of the role:



  • Lead Float product management, including product development, portfolio offering, discontinuation, and allocation as necessary.
  • Lead product management processes, including product development, portfolio offering, discontinuation of products, and allocation in necessary cases.
  • Lead specialty products and projects, defined by the Director, Commercial Innovation.
  • Define, jointly with the Commercial product Director, product portfolios for the commercial building segment.
  • Understand the market's wants and needs while conducting appropriate research to define new product developments.
  • Gain a deep understanding of Vitro's customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
  • Create buy-in for the product vision, both internally and with key external partners.
  • Develop product pricing and positioning strategies.
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
  • Drive product launches that include work with marketing and communications teams, executives, and other product management team members.
  • Train internal sales teams to understand the value proposition and sell-up.
  • Gain a clear understanding of product values in the final products.
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure consistency with product line strategies and clear messaging.
  • Act as a product fanatic to build awareness and understanding.
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services.



Desired qualities:



  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in the glass industry.
  • Prior experience in Product management, Commercial Sales and/or Architectural/Specification
  • Float and value-added platform products knowledge.
  • Should have strong analytical skills and a high proficiency with Microsoft software, namely Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
