The Manager, Sales Compensation plays a key role in driving sales performance and supporting Epson's commitment to creating customer value through the strategic leadership of sales compensation and incentive programs for North America. This role leads the design, governance, and execution of programs that motivate performance, ensure fairness and accuracy, and align with business objectives and corporate goals. Partnering closely with Sales leadership, Finance, Product Management, and channel stakeholders, the Manager serves as both a people leader and subject-matter expert, developing a high-performing team while guiding analytical insights, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across the function.

This position is based out of Epson America's headquarters in Los Alamitos, CA with an opportunity for a Hybrid schedule.

How You'll Make an Impact:

Sales Compensation and Incentive Program Administration

  • Design, implement, communicate, and enforce sales compensation programs, policies and procedures to motivate sales representatives to achieve sales objectives.
  • Oversee effective execution of the sales compensation program (e.g., accurate, timely commission payments).
  • Oversee and manage incentive programs for EAI sales representatives (eg. National Account Program, National Spiff program, etc.)
  • Ensure alignment of sales programs with corporate goals and develops necessary controls.
  • Develop sales quota methodology and manage annual quota setting process.
  • Responsible for overseeing all sales reporting from distributor and reseller partners to compensate channel and end user sales teams.
  • Audit and interpret data submitted for accuracy and adherence to program guidelines.

Sales Analysis and Reporting

  • Oversee and create regular and ad-hoc reporting to analyze activity by customer, product, channel, and program.

  • Reviews and interprets complex sales and compensation data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership

  • Guides the team in maintaining and advancing expertise in sales data management systems and reporting tools, ensuring scalability and accuracy as business needs evolve

Relationship and Department Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of sales compensation and planning professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment
  • Encourage best practices in documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing across the team
  • Act as an escalation point for complex compensation issues, partnering cross-functionally to drive resolution while maintaining program integrity
  • Develop trusted partnerships with peers, senior management, and key stakeholders to align sales compensation strategies with company goals.
  • Maintain and leverage relationships with vendors and external organizations to deliver optimal solutions and stay informed of industry best practices.

What You Will Bring:

  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in sales compensation, sales operations, or sales planning, including people leadership responsibilities
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, MBA preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and analytical modeling; ability to review and guide advanced analysis produced by the team
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights and recommendations
  • Experience with sales compensation systems and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, fairness, and compliance with program guidelines

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $121,291 and $159,193. Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
