The News Marketing Manager will play a critical role in shaping the work that fuels our subscription strategy and marketing roadmap.

This role will partner closely with cross-functional teams to assess opportunities, guide planning, and help run the business. If you're proactive, curious, and excited to support the evolution of a global subscription product, this role offers the chance to contribute at the ground level of impactful, forward-looking work.

We're looking for a strategic and hands-on Marketing Manager to work across the full News and News+ global marketing landscape. This person will design and execute campaigns that attract, nurture, and convert new customers while also driving retention and engagement within our existing base.

Responsibilities:



  • Assist News Marketing Lead with driving marketing activations and consumer-facing events with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Own project timelines, cross-functional internal collaboration, approvals and task management to ensure seamless project executions.
  • Develop a process of continuous improvement, analyzing campaign results and feeding new insights back into future plans.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the ecosystem to execute cross-merchandising opportunities.
  • Support News Marketing Lead with post-campaign debriefs and wrap-up documents to capture insights and optimize future activations.
  • Apply a performance marketing lens when collaborating with multiple cross-functional teams to bring together all aspects of the user's lifecycle.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of experience in marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with curiosity, attention to detail, and a drive to improve processes.
  • Highly refined written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to design A/B tests, analyze campaign performance and deliver actionable recommendations
  • Proven success driving acquisition, retention, and expansion through digital-first campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to forecast and tie marketing activities to revenue outcomes.
  • Solid understanding of audience segmentation, data workflows and marketing automation.
  • Experience collaborating closely with creative teams, Product Marketing, and/or Engineering to achieve pipeline goals.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience working in subscription-based, content-driven, or media businesses.
  • Familiarity with digital content performance or subscription funnels.
  • Passion for journalism, product development, and understanding how content and product work together to drive subscriber value.
  • Experience with Slack, Keynote, Numbers, Airtable, and Quip.
