Senior Project Manager - Newark, NJ| Manasquan, NJ| Princeton, NJ

Join VHB as a Senior Project Manager to help grow their expanding and innovative Land Development team in New Jersey. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic team, across diverse disciplines, giving you exposure to a wide variety of projects in size and scope. Our clients include mixed-use, biotech, residential, multifamily, affordable housing, industrial, and hospitality developers. Responsibilities

    Direct projects by managing and delegating tasks, forecasting and proactively addressing workload, financial performance, and staffing needs, while collaborating with clients and teammates across the organization
  • Oversee and engage in the development of existing client relationships, including conducting periodic meetings, developing proposals and budgets, and gathering feedback with teammates
  • Prepare agreements and manage the creation and approval of construction plans, bid documents, technical specifications, and construction cost estimates
  • Analyze complex technical challenges and develop new or improved techniques, approaches, and alternative solutions
  • Develop engineering plans and specifications in a team environment for a multitude of projects

Skills and Attributes

  • Willingness to learn implementation of integrated services projects in a team with multidisciplinary skills
  • Knowledge of land development construction including codes and development regulations
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills and growth potential
  • Has interest in growing business development skills

Qualifications

  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • 11-15+ years of increasing engineering experience on complex projects
  • PE licensure in NJ
  • Proficient in site layout, grading, utility design and stormwater management
  • Experience in developing and compiling/producing site plans, construction documents, specification, and engineering reports
  • Understanding of New Jersey market
  • Experience with GIS Systems is a plus - GIS is one of the tools we use to create better projects
  • Proficient in the following: AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, MS Office

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in New Jersey is 160,000-190,000. This offer is determined based on a number of job-related factors including internal comparators, skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities and geographic location.
