Description

Leidos is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Integrated Master Scheduler to join GSM-O II, Integration Services. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in coordinating project timelines, resources, and activities to ensure excellence in program execution. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to ensure schedule integrity, alignment with contractual requirements, and proactive identification of risks impacting cost, schedule, and performance.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in program management and scheduling tools to identify, track, and report key milestones and contract deliverables across multiple programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze resource-loaded Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) using sound scheduling theory and industry best practices.
  • Establish and manage scheduling business rhythms, including baseline development, schedule reviews, and supporting artifacts required to meet contractual and programmatic obligations.
  • Monitor schedule performance against approved baselines, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, and delivery objectives.
  • Create, maintain, and publish accurate Master Schedules that clearly define tasks, resources, dependencies, and timelines required to meet customer-defined milestones.
  • Ensure accurate representation within the IMS of major milestones, decision points, and key lifecycle events.
  • Determine and analyze the critical path, task sequencing, and dependencies to proactively mitigate schedule risks.
  • Conduct "what-if" and scenario-based analyses to assess alternative execution paths, evaluate impacts, and support leadership decision-making.
  • Implement and enforce schedule version control, configuration management, and change control processes to maintain schedule integrity and traceability.
  • Support schedule estimating and forecasting activities by collecting input from stakeholders and updating work estimates as needed.
  • Generate and present schedule performance reports, including planned versus actual analysis and variance explanations to support corrective action planning.
  • Contribute to risk mitigation and issue resolution efforts through proactive schedule analysis and collaboration with program teams.
  • Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives, providing scheduling expertise as required.
  • Regularly assess program metrics and provide actionable insights to Program Managers to ensure program objectives and support requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience, or Master degree with 6+ years of relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Must hold an active Secret clearance
  • Extensive experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for complex programs.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Project and scheduling analytics skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced expertise using Structured Solutions Inc. (SSI) Tools for Microsoft Project
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical, programmatic, and leadership teams.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of the Master Schedule, and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrated success working in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong command of advanced scheduling practices, including:
    • Schedule status processes
    • Resource Loaded Networks
    • Cost and schedule integration
    • 14-Point Analysis and schedule health assessments
    • Critical Path Method (CPM) and float management
    • Schedule execution metrics (BEI, CEI, CPLI, SV, SPI, etc.)
    • Schedule risk modeling and Monte Carlo simulations
    • Baseline change control governance
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Active Secret clearance required, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Experience supporting Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA)
  • PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) certification
  • Scheduling Professional (SP) certification
