ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Columbia Sales Analytics team collaborates closely with Sales Representatives and cross-functional internal teams, such as Merchandising, Marketing and Planning, to ensure Columbia products are positioned for success within our key wholesale accounts. The team's sharp business acumen and sales strategy expertise drive strong partnerships and meaningful results.

Columbia Sportswear is seeking a Senior Sales Analyst to join our Houston-based Sales team and play a key role in driving business performance. This role delivers action-oriented reporting and analytics across weekly, monthly, and seasonal business reviews, empowering data-driven decision-making and strategic planning. You will partner closely with key account Sales teams to turn insights into action, supporting customer needs and accelerating strategic account growth, while collaborating cross-functionally with Sales Leadership, Product Development, and external partners.

HOW YOU'LL MAKEA DIFFERENCE

  • Generate and provide Sell-Through summary reports tosupportingKey Account Sales Representatives within an agreed upon calendar cadence
  • Generate and provide Sell-In summary reporting, analytics, and ad hoc requests to cross-functional management teams
  • Provide Key Account SalesRepresentativesconstructive analysis with suggestions for improvements during seasonal pre-lines and bookingtimeframesto create sales driving assortments based on sell-through analytics and market trends
  • Work with Key Account SalesDirectoron current and future season forecasting.
  • Identifyopportunities and liabilities on product based on history and market trends to maximize production runs and internal gross margins
  • Monitor sales and stock trends; suggest reorders on fast sellers and suggest alternative measures on slow sellers.
  • Communicate open bulk concerns based on sales trend, re-projections, and sales ladder plans
  • Work closely with Sales Representatives and accounts' buying/planning teams toidentifytop and bottom performing doors to ensure proper allocation of goods; collaborate to build regional/market store clusters to improve sales, margins, and turnover

YOUHAVE

  • Bachelor's degree, applicablecertification,or equivalent experience.
  • 5-8years of professional experience in retail and/or wholesale businessenvironmentpreferably in sales, or equivalent work experience in retail merchandising in the apparel industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of merchandising, buying, product allocation, and retail sales analysis
  • Knowledge ofmerchandising, buying, product allocation, and retail sales analysis.
  • Advanced knowledge of retail math and pricing strategies with an in-depth knowledge ofopen to buyand the financial planning process at the retail level
  • Knowledge of the outdoor industry, the department store channel, consumer's buyingpatternsand retail dynamics sufficient to be credible and influential with customers
