Hourly Pay Range:

$18.31 - $25.63 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

  • Position: Lead Environmental Services Technician
  • Location: Edward Hospital - Naperville, IL.
  • Full Time: 40 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 3p - 11:30p, Rotating Weekends and Holidays

What you will do:

Working independently with minimal supervision, performs support duties for the management team. Acts as a resource person for staff. As needed, coordinates services with other departments to minimize patient, staff and visitor disruptions. The following are general characteristics of this job, although duties may vary by assigned department.

  • Assists and insures the assigned activities of the housekeeping staff are followed for housekeeping, linen, discharge and projects.
  • Distributes and receives equipment and supplies for staff use during the designated shift times (ex. pagers, keys, phones, etc.)
  • Assists in adjusting schedules and assignments to meet staffing and patient needs.
  • Communicates continuously with the management team on identified opportunities, concerns, staffing levels, etc.
  • Assists in follow-up and hands-on training for staff.
  • Maintains Customer Service Goals and retention level set by hospital.
  • Assists in investigation and resolution of complaints and concerns from patients, visitors, physicians, and subordinates. Complete discretion and confidentiality is necessary.
  • Communicate and follow-up with service requests.
  • Ability to perform the assigned duties of the Housekeeper or Linen Aide (dependent upon specific Lead assignment) in the event of staffing shortages, high volumes or other similar situations.

What you will need:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED
  • Unique or Preferred Skills: Ability to read and exchange information with patients and others and/or do basic arithmetic.
