This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

This will be on the job training and the hours during training will be 7:30 am to 4:00 pm EST, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collect, verify and prep documents for the scanning process per department procedure
  • Assist with post discharge medical record audits.
  • Scan, verify and uploading of documents into electronic health record
  • Perform clerical duties such as maintaining retrieving or scanning of all records, files and documents of importance
  • Confirm commitment of all documents to the electronic health records
  • Answer phone and assist caller or redirect to appropriate personnel for assistance
  • Retrieve and file back paper charts from storage
  • Assist others in completing tasks for timely completion of our essential functions
  • Destroy / recycle scanned documents based on department destruction policy
  • Mark patients active/inactive in care everywhere or deceased in electric record
  • Pickup and delivery of patient records from designated locations within the hospital

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Ability to work onsite full time at 1 Guthrie Square Sayre, PA 18840
  • Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 7:30 am - 4:00 pm EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with processing protected health information
  • 1+ years of experience with working directly with medical records documents
  • Experience with an electronic health records

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $16.15 - $28.80 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
