Daikin Applied is seeking a talentedSr Director of Technology Innovation. The Sr Director of Technology Innovation will drive strategic growth through software engineering and technology innovation. With general guidance, you will evaluate, deploy, and scale enterprise technologies and drive innovation to support our solutions business transformation. The focus will be on software engineering, application development, integration, architecture, emerging technology, AI, ML and customer facing technology such as BMS and IoT. Location:Plymouth, MN - Hybrid, Remote

What you will do:

  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with the Daikin Applied Americas Digital Transformation Strategy, Corporate Strategy, and capabilities of its businesses
  • Lead the team of software engineers, application development teams, architects, integration specialists and third party SaaS platform providers
  • Manage run, grow, and transform agenda for deploying digital applications to meet business needs and ensure their high performance, uptime and reliability
  • Collaborate with business facing digital teams, PMO, security, infrastructure and data team to deliver comprehensive solutions
  • Invest in building the DevSecOps tooling, leveraging enterprise frameworks, automation and global partners.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and executive leadership to explore potential areas for improvement and establish strong justifications for implementing technology solutions
  • Drive requirements analysis and definition for existing and new demands, partnering with solutions architecture and appropriate product groups
  • Prioritize and manage technology innovation demands and projects, allocating resources
  • Lead and support major strategic technology programs to drive successful implementation and business value realization; develop business case, track progress, and report out on ROI

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of technology innovation experience, inclusive of technology architecture and engineering
  • 12 years of experience in a people leadership role building and motivating diverse teams
  • Deep understanding of emerging technology, AI, ML, and customer facing technology such as BMS and IoT
  • Familiarity with digital technologies, processes, and solutions for sales, marketing, and commercial functions
  • Experience delivering large scale digital projects from concept through delivery and operations
  • Previous experience leading an organization through execution of large-scale technology innovation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead multiple priorities and operate with poise and integrity in a high-profile, evolving environment Strong leadership, customer focus and analytical skills with outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, influence, and coordinate activities in a cross functional, team-oriented environment to deliver technology applications or technical products
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Field CTO experience
  • HVAC industry knowledge

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $162,000 - $277,000 (+ 30-35%) bonusin MN. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
