Job Description PAP Specialists are responsible for preparing and submitting audit paperwork for Medicare and other insurance claims to ensure continued compliance with healthcare guidelines. The PAP Specialist will accurately respond to claim audits and communicate audit results in such a way to provide education and appropriate process changes that directly impact the daily functions of the company. Job Duties: * Handle Spanish and English patient equipment repair phone calls requesting repair or service of equipment. Process orders, schedule visits, process equipment to send out for repairs, and track various orders and returns. * Basic trouble shooting of Pap machines * Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all applicable insurance guidelines respecting eligibility for coverage and reimbursement. * Assists in the development and maintenance of reference materials for use by staff and facilitates the sharing of information * Responsible for entering data in an accurate manner, into database including although not limited to payer, authorization requirements, coverage limitations and status of any requalification * Identify trends and providing feedback and education to internal and external customers on compliant documentation requirements for services provided. * Maintain patient confidentiality and function within the guidelines of HIPAA Top Skills Details customer service, order entry, inbound, outbound, call center, Data entry, insurance customer service Qualifications * High School Diploma * Medical Call Center experience working with insurances * Comes from a Medicare certified HME, Diabetic, Pharmacy, or home medical supplies environment that routinely bills insurance. * Need to be very adaptable to change * Bilingual in Spanish and English is a huge plus (not required) Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elmhurst, IL. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
