Haskell is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our St. Paul team and contribute to a broad range of private sector building and industrial projects. Our engineers work collaboratively with multi-discipline engineering and construction teams within Haskell, driven by the same values of team, excellence, service, and trust.

In this role, you will be responsible for the production of innovative, appropriate, cost-effective designs including drawings, specifications and reports as needed for the assigned projects. You will maintain professional registration and sign/seal documents prepared under your supervision.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing complete structural system designs of various building/construction types of varying complexity.
  • Coordinating work with other disciplines. Performing interdisciplinary coordination checks to minimize deficiencies, errors and omissions in drawings and specifications.
  • Performing site visits and preparing observation/follow-up phase reports documenting progress and deficiencies.
  • Reviewing structural testing and inspection reports. Responding to project RFIs and reviews construction shop drawing submittals.
  • Assist in preparing budgets with the discipline lead for structural work on prospects/proposals, monitors design progress and budget utilization, and completes project within the stated fee.
  • Directing technical efforts of junior engineers, designers, technicians, and/or interns assigned to their projects. Mentoring team members within the structural discipline.

To thrive in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Master's Degree focused in Structural Engineering (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
  • Structural Engineer (S.E.) license or desire to obtain S.E. license (preferred)
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, RAM Structural System, ETABS, and SAP2000 Driven to enhance personal skills and to be a leader in driving advancement within Haskell's structural engineering discipline.

Salary Range:

The base salary range for this position is $95,000-$130,000. The actual salary will be determined based on the candidate's knowledge, skills, and experience.

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information.
