What this job involves:

This position serves as the critical link between data engineering capabilities and business outcomes within the Global Corporate Sustainability organization, requiring a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to transform sustainability data into actionable insights. You will own end-to-end data solutions for assigned GCS program areas including building performance, energy management, leasing assessment, and guidelines and standards from collection and modeling to storage and analytics. This role contributes to JLL's business objectives by establishing data governance standards, developing scalable analytics solutions, and fostering a data-driven culture that drives measurable business impact across GCS programs and regions.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Own end-to-end data solutions for assigned GCS program areas while developing deep subject matter expertise in sustainability domains
  • Design and implement scalable data models using Amazon's internal tools and AWS technologies while building interactive Quicksight dashboards
  • Create automated data pipelines that reduce manual effort and increase data reliability with robust data quality checks and monitoring
  • Serve as primary data point of contact for assigned GCS programs and regions while collaborating with program SMEs to prioritize objectives
  • Translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and educate stakeholders on data capabilities
  • Regularly evaluate and optimize existing data solutions while identifying opportunities to scale successful approaches across programs
  • Stay current with emerging data technologies and sustainability analytics trends for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications:

  • Advanced SQL skills with proven ability to design efficient and maintainable data models
  • Experience building data pipelines using AWS services including S3, Glue, and Lambda
  • Proficiency with BI tools, particularly Quicksight, with working knowledge of Python for data transformation and analysis
  • Understanding of data quality methodologies and implementation approaches
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions with cross-functional team experience
  • Strong analytical thinking with ability to identify patterns and insights in complex datasets
  • Understanding of sustainability concepts and metrics including carbon accounting, water stewardship, and waste management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Amazon's internal tools including Andes, Cradle, and EDX/Galaxy MDM
  • Background in Global Corporate Sustainability or environmental data analytics
  • Excellence in explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences with strong documentation skills
  • Experience building consensus among diverse stakeholders with ability to present data insights compellingly
  • Knowledge of data governance standards and "Data Quality First" principles
  • Understanding of building performance analytics and energy management systems
  • Experience with automated reporting and dashboard engagement optimization.

Location: Onsite / hybrid requirement (Seattle, WA, Washington, D.C. or the Bay Area preferred)

Estimated compensation for this position:

120,000.00 - 180,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
