Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer position with a financial client located in Charlotte, NC. This is a hybrid 6+ month contract opportunity. Summary: Our client is leading a Digital Transformation across their Americas Division and is seeking an experienced full stack Python Data Engineer to support the design and development of a strategic data platform. This role will be part of the Data Strategy team and will be involved in the active development of the data platform, beginning with the establishment of a reference data system for securities and pricing data, and later moving to other data domains. Responsibilities: Follow internal development standards to contribute to the overall agenda of the Data Strategy team Implement a strategic data platform on the Azure Cloud Platform Develop APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks in Python Utilize the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc.) and CI/CD processes Requirements: 10+ years of relevant experience Proven experience as a Data Engineer with experience in Azure cloud Experience implementing solutions using Azure cloud services: Azure Data Factory, Azure Lake Gen 2, Azure Databases, Azure Data Fabric, API Gateway management, and Azure Functions Well versed with Azure Databricks Strong SQL skills with RDBMS or NoSQL databases Familiarity with the DevOps lifecycle (git, Jenkins, etc.) and CI/CD processes Good understanding of ETL/ELT processes Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position. Desired skills: Experience in financial services industry, financial instruments, asset classes and market data are a plus Pay rate up to $63.02 hourly.
