The Rehabilitation Counseling department is looking for a temporary Research Assistant. The Research Assistant will support the effective management and implementation of all aspects of the RSA grant, ensuring that project activities, reporting requirements, and overall objectives are carried out efficiently and in compliance with grant requirements.

Responsibilities include:

Grant Administration & Compliance

  • Assist with day-to-day administrative operations related to the grant
  • Support compliance with grant terms, timelines, and funding requirements
  • Maintain organized grant files, records, and documentation (both digital and physical)
  • Track deliverables, deadlines, and reporting requirements


Project Coordination

  • Support implementation of grant-funded activities and initiatives
  • Assist with preparation of project materials, agendas, and summaries
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal staff and external partners as needed

Reporting & Documentation

  • Assist in compiling data, narratives, and supporting materials for grant reports
  • Track project progress and outcomes against grant objectives
  • Help prepare interim and final reports for submission
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, expenditures, and outcomes

Financial & Administrative Support

  • Assist with tracking grant expenditures and maintaining budget documentation
  • Support invoice processing, reimbursements, and expense reporting
  • Coordinate with finance or accounting staff as needed

Primary Function of Organizational Unit
The organizational unit contributes to and operates the research infrastructure of the university.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
  • Familiarity with grant-funded programs or reporting requirements
  • Experience with data tracking or basic financial documentation
